What is Answerly AI?

Answerly AI is a study assistant that solves and explains academic questions. Type a question or upload a photo of one — homework, a textbook page, a question paper — and get a clear, step-by-step solution, not just the final answer.

Do I need an account to use it?

Yes. Signing up (or signing in with Google) lets Answerly AI save your question history, track your practice results, and unlock features like Current Affairs, Job Vacancies, and the Study Timer.

How do I ask a question?

Either type it directly in chat, or upload a photo — a printed or handwritten question paper, a textbook page, or a screenshot all work.

What subjects are supported?

Math, Physics, and Chemistry get fast, dedicated step-by-step solutions. Other subjects — Biology, History, Geography, English, and more — are answered too, just through a more general explanation path.

How are answers generated?

Answerly AI first tries to solve a question directly with built-in solvers for math, physics, and chemistry — fast, and not dependent on any external service being up. If that doesn't apply, it works through the answer and explains it step by step.

Why do some answers take a few seconds longer than others?

Questions outside math/physics/chemistry take a bit more work to answer well. Answerly AI is also built to quietly retry behind the scenes if needed, so you still get a reliable answer rather than an error.

What if an answer looks wrong?

Use the thumbs up/down on that answer — it goes straight to us and helps catch mistakes. For anything else, use "Send Feedback" in Settings to tell us what happened.

Can I upload a blurry or handwritten photo?

You can try — Answerly AI reads the image with OCR and works best with clear, well-lit photos. If the text can't be read reliably, you'll be asked to retake the photo or type the question instead.

What's the difference between asking a question and using Textbooks?

Asking a question solves whatever you type or photograph, one at a time. Textbooks let you read a full chapter and then take a quiz built specifically for that chapter once you're done reading.

How are chapter quizzes created?

They're curated for that specific chapter, not generated on the fly — so questions match what the chapter actually covers.

Can I retake a quiz?

Yes, anytime — generate a new practice set for the same chapter whenever you want more practice.

What does the Study Timer do?

It's a simple stopwatch for your reading/study sessions. Start it when you begin, stop it when you're done, and see your history over time.

Does it track my study time automatically?

No — you start and stop it yourself. It's a tool for you to use, not something that monitors your device in the background.

Where does Current Affairs content come from?

Directly from the Press Information Bureau (PIB), the Government of India's official press office. Every headline links to PIB's own original release.

How often is Current Affairs updated?

Automatically, roughly every 6 hours — no need to do anything to refresh it.

Where does the job vacancy information come from?

From publicly available vacancy notices. Answerly AI shows the key facts — organization, post, vacancy count, important dates — directly in the app so you don't have to dig through a long notice.

I tapped Apply and it opened another website — is that expected?

Yes, and it's intentional. Applying always happens on the official government or organization website, never inside Answerly AI — we help you find and understand the notice, we never handle your application or any payment.

Can I fully trust the vacancy details shown in the app?

Treat it as a helpful summary, not the final word — always check the official notification (linked on the listing) before applying, especially for dates and eligibility, since details can change.

Is my data shared with third parties?

No. Answerly AI never exposes which underlying service answered your question, and your data isn't shared for advertising.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?

Use "Send Feedback" in Settings — tell us what happened or what you'd like to see. Every submission is reviewed.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all its data anytime from Settings > Delete Account — it's immediate, no need to contact anyone. If you can't access the app, use the account deletion link on our website instead.
